Plan A Visit
Therefore, welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.
Romans 15:7
Welcome
Visiting a church for the first time can be hard. You may not know where to park, what to wear, what will happen in the service, or what to do with your children. We want to answer those questions before you arrive, so that when you come you can give your attention to the reason we gather: to meet with the living God in worship.
We are a small congregation, and we will notice that you are new — in the best way. You will not be singled out or asked to stand.

Getting Here
Seven Springs sits on a small knoll at the intersection of Seven Springs Road and Old Mill Road, just north of the town of Glade Spring, near the gap in Little Walker Mountain. The white chapel, built in 1899–1901, is easy to see from the road.
From Interstate 81, take Exit 29 toward Glade Spring and follow Maple Street for approximately 1.2 miles. Continue across the railroad tracks as Maple Street becomes Old Mill Road. Follow Old Mill Road for about 1.7 miles, then turn right onto Seven Springs Road. Seven Springs Presbyterian Church is located on the right.

What to Expect
Worship service
Our worship is simple, reverent, and ordered by Scripture. The morning service lasts about an hour. You will hear the Bible read and preached, sing psalms and hymns together, and join in prayer. On the days the Lord’s Supper is observed or a baptism is administered, you will see the sacraments Christ gave to His church.
A printed bulletin will guide you through the service: every hymn, reading, prayer, and response is printed there, so you can follow along without prior knowledge. We sing from several hymnals, including the Trinity Psalter Hymnal and Hymns of Faith, with piano accompaniment.
The sermon is the center of the service. Our pastor normally preaches through books of the Bible verse by verse, so that the congregation hears the whole counsel of God over time.
Attire
Come as you are. You will see some people in suits and dresses and others in slacks or jeans. We dress as those coming into the presence of the King, but we know that God “looks on the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7). What matters most is not what you wear but that you come to hear His Word. Please do not let a question about clothes keep you from worship.
Children
Children are welcome in worship. We believe children are a gift from the Lord and that His promises are “for you and for your children” (Acts 2:39), so we are glad to have them in the service with their families. Expect some wiggles and noise. We are not bothered by it, and we hope you won’t be either.
A training room is available for parents who need to step out with little ones, and you can still hear the service from there.
Common Questions
Have more questions?Contact us!
Will I be asked to give money?
No. An offering is received as an act of worship, but guests should not feel any obligation to give.
Do I have to be a member to come?
No. Everyone is welcome at public worship. If you want to learn more about membership, the pastor would be glad to meet with you.
May I take the Lord’s Supper?
The Lord’s Supper is for those who have professed faith in Christ and are members of a church that believes and preaches the gospel. Before the Supper is served, the pastor will explain who is invited to come to the Table. If you are unsure, please feel free to let the elements pass. See our page on the sacraments for more.
What kind of Presbyterian church is this?
We are part of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), a conservative, Bible-believing denomination. See “What Is a Presbyterian?” to learn more.
