Our Ministries
At Seven Springs, we believe the ordinary ministry of the church is centered on the ordinary means of grace: the preaching of God’s Word, prayer, the sacraments, and the fellowship of the saints in public worship. Our goal is not to fill every night of the week with programs, but to gather faithfully as Christ’s church, equip believers through His Word, and encourage households to worship and serve Him throughout the week.
Our regular rhythm begins with the Lord’s Day. We gather for Morning Worship at 10:00 a.m. and Evening Worship at 6:00 p.m. These services are the heart of our life together as a congregation, as we hear God’s Word, sing His praise, pray together, and receive the means Christ has appointed for the strengthening of His people.
Christian Education
We want Christians of every age to grow in their knowledge of Scripture and in their ability to live faithfully before God.
Sunday School follows the morning worship service, with classes for adults and children. We also gather for Wednesday Night Bible Study at 7:00 p.m. at the church for continued study of God’s Word and Christian doctrine.
Our children participate in age-appropriate Sunday School classes, and on the second Sunday evening of each month we include a children’s catechism time as part of our evening gathering. We want our children to grow up knowing not only the stories of Scripture, but the great truths of the Christian faith.
Ministry in the Home
The church’s ministry does not replace the Christian home. We encourage households to establish a regular pattern of family worship—reading Scripture, praying, and singing together.
For that reason, we try not to crowd the week with unnecessary programs. We want families to have time to worship together, serve one another, show hospitality, rest, and live ordinary Christian lives in their homes and communities.
Men’s Ministry
The men of the church gather quarterly for breakfast and study, usually working through a Christian book together. These gatherings are ordinarily held in February, May, August, and November, providing a regular opportunity for fellowship, encouragement, and growth in Christian maturity.
Women in the Church
Our Women in the Church ministry gathers monthly in the evening for fellowship and book study. These gatherings are designed to encourage women in their knowledge of Scripture, love for Christ, service in the church, and ministry to one another.
Fellowship
Christian fellowship is an important part of our life together—and at Seven Springs, it often happens around a table.
On the second Sunday of each month at 5:00 p.m., we gather for a fellowship meal before evening worship. Throughout the year we also enjoy a variety of congregational gatherings, including our Sunday School picnic, summer ice cream social, apple-butter making in the fall, seasonal meals, and other opportunities to share food and fellowship together.
These gatherings are simple, but important. They give us time to know one another beyond the worship service, welcome visitors, strengthen friendships across generations, and rejoice together as the family of God.
An Ordinary Life Together
Much of Christian ministry is wonderfully ordinary: worshiping on the Lord’s Day, learning the Scriptures, praying together, teaching our children, opening our homes, sharing meals, bearing one another’s burdens, and encouraging one another to follow Christ.
That is the kind of life we seek to cultivate at Seven Springs—a church centered on the ordinary means of grace, strengthened in Christian fellowship, and equipped to live faithfully for Christ in our homes, vocations, and community.
